A: Purple Hamper is a laundry service that takes the hassle out of doing your laundry. Our goal is to make laundry both easy and stress-free for you, while offering a truly revolutionary experience. Here's how it works:

To start, you can easily place an order by scheduling our pickup service online. Simply choose the day and time that works best for you. Our friendly drivers will then come to your location and collect your laundry accordingly.

Once we have your laundry in our care, our team of specialists will handle it with the utmost attention to detail. We'll wash, dry, fold, steam, and package your clothes exactly how you prefer. Our focus is on meeting your unique laundry preferences and ensuring that your garments are treated with the care they deserve.

After our laundry specialists have worked their magic, we'll deliver your freshly cleaned and beautifully cared for clothes right to your doorstep the very next day. This means no more waiting around for days to get your laundry back – we aim for a quick turnaround time.
What cleaning techniques do you use?
A: At Purple Hamper, we prioritize using green and eco-friendly products in our cleaning processes. For our simple package, we use organic detergent and oxygen brighteners to ensure that your clothes are both clean and environmentally conscious.

In addition, we also offer customizable packages to cater to your specific laundry preferences. If you have any specific instructions regarding how you'd like your clothes washed, dried, or folded, we'll make sure to follow them to a tee for your utmost satisfaction.

For stains, we do our best to pretreat them with general stain removal techniques. However, for any particularly tough or specialized stains, we ask that you bag those items separately with detailed instructions about the source of the stain and how long it's been sitting. This will help us give those items the careful and thorough treatment they require.
Can you handle specific clothing items or fabrics?
A: Absolutely! We've got you covered from socks to smocks. Whether it's delicate fabrics or heavy-duty linens, as long as they're washable in a washing machine, we've mastered the art of handling different clothing items and materials. Just place them in the Purple Hamper laundry bag, and we'll take care of the rest. Individual items like blankets, mats, curtains, etc are individually priced. Please, check our pricing page.
Are the detergents you use eco-friendly?
A: We're passionate about protecting the environment, which is why we only use eco-friendly detergents for our regular wash. They're tough on dirt but gentle on the planet. So you can enjoy clean clothes while knowing you're doing your part in being environmentally responsible. It's a win-win!
How do I handle special instructions or specific preferences?
A: You've got preferences? We've got your back! During sign-up, you can provide any special instructions or preferences, like your preferred detergent scent or folding style. We aim to make your laundry experience as personal as can be!
How can I track my laundry or get in touch with customer support?
A: We've got all the means to keep you in the loop, dear friend! You can track the progress of your laundry through our user-friendly online platform. And if you have any questions or need assistance, our customer support team is just a click or call away. We're always here to lend a purple hand!
What should I put my dirty laundry in?
A: You can have your dirty laundry ready in a bag of your choice - garbage bags, reusable bags, you name it! Just make sure to separate any stained items or items that require special care. Oh, and don't forget to double-check your pockets! We wouldn't want any chapstick, crayons, or gum causing mischief in the wash. Also you do not want your valuables go to a washer drain.
What can I expect for my first laundry service?
A: On the day or evening of your scheduled pick-up, a Purple Hamper driver will arrive within the allotted window of time. Just leave your laundry bag outside. The next day, your driver will bring everything back to you during your confirmed delivery time. We'll keep you in the loop with a text notification when your clothes are en route and again once your delivery has been made. Talk about purplistic convenience!
Do I need to sort my items?
A: No sorting necessary, my friend! Leave the sorting to us, because we've got it covered. You deserve a break from separating those pesky piles, so sit back and let us take care of it.
Do you check pockets?
A: With the incredible amount of laundry we handle, our fantastic launderers are unable to check every pocket. So, don't forget to give those pockets a thorough check before placing your items in the bag. We wouldn't want anything precious to go missing or get damaged.
Do you read individual label and instructions?
A: We've got a lot going on in our laundry whirlwind, so we're not able to read individual label washing instructions. But don't worry - if you have items that require special care, just bag them separately and include instructions for our amazing launderer. They'll make sure your items are treated with the love and care they deserve.
Can you do stain removal?
A: We're stain removal wizards! We're happy to help with light stain removal. Simply place all stained clothing in a separate bag and let us know by including a note in the bag or on your laundry profile. We'll give it our best shot, but it's important to know the exact source of each stain for the best treatment. While we're usually successful at removing stains, we can't guarantee we'll be able to get rid of every last drop of ketchup. If you can pretreat the stains before putting the garment in the bag, it'll increase the odds of success. The longer a stain stays in your garment, the less chance it has of being banished for good.
Can I send undergarments?
A: Of course, it's laundry! We're here to take ALLLLLL your laundry off your hands. But if you prefer to keep your undergarments as mysterious as a hidden treasure, simply send them inside a mesh bag. We'll wash, dry, and return your undergarments in that very same mesh bag. Purplistic privacy!
How are my whites washed?
A: When it comes to whites, we've got a secret weapon - Organic Oxygen Brightener! It's like a burst of sunshine for your clothes. But if you prefer something different for your whites, just let us know. We're here to make your laundry dreams come true.That's all the laundry wisdom we have for now, busy family. Can I use my own hangers?
A: Absolutely! If you have a special attachment to your hangers, feel free to send them along. We'll take good care of them and make sure your fresh laundry is hanging in style. You can also send our Purple hangers back to us for reuse.
What type of clothes should I hang dry?
A: We recommend hang drying items that are most likely to shrink with any exposure to heat during the cleaning process such as Polyester, Spandex, and Delicates.
What happens if I request air-dry?
A: Hang Dry/ Air Dry items are $1 each. After laundering with the rest of your Wash & Fold, Air Dry items will be hung up to dry in a climate-controlled environment and returned to you on a hanger or folded. Our Air-Dry service is recommended for delicates and synthetics. Air Dry items are NOT pressed after drying, just folded, so they may be returned with wrinkles.
I forgot to put my laundry out?
A: To compensate our driver's time, there will be a $10 missed pick-up fee. We can reschedule the pick-up for the following week - on your normal route day. If you'd like your items washed that week, we can return later that day or the following day for an additional $10 rush fee.
What will be returned on hangers?
A: We hang collared shirts, button-up shirts, golf shirts, dresses, blouses, and slacks/dress pants. If you have a request for something else to be placed on a hanger, just let us know. If you'd like us to use your hangers, just send them in your laundry (in a separate bag as to not damage your clothes).
Are there additional costs for larger items?
A: Yes, in some cases, large items are charged on a per-item basis. Primarily, these items include Comforter, Blankets, Mattress Pads, Bath mats, Animal beds and Curtains.
Am I supposed to weigh my items?
A: No, we will do that for you. If you want an estimate, you can use your scale by weighing yourself and then weighing yourself holding the laundry. The weight of your clothing is done after it's been washed and dried using our trade-certified scale.
Do you offer dry cleaning services?
A: No, not at the moment. But it's coming soon.
Do you iron?
A: We press, and it is $4/item.
